Hi, I’m DJay. About 18 months ago, I had a major heart attack. I stayed in the hospital for 2 months, and the doctors said that I would be a vegetable for the rest of my life. When I was released to come home, I still had a trach and a feeding tube. Several months after being home, I began to be able to remember stuff and to talk.
My old bed was a very small and uncomfortable hospital bed. Sadly, my wife couldn’t sleep with me, and I don’t like to sleep without my wife. It is awesome, for sure, that Mattress by an Angel donated me an adjustable base and mattress! My new bed can elevate my feet and sit me up for feeding times. It’s easier on my wife’s back when she helps me sit on the edge of the bed for my therapy.
